Our story goes back to 2020, a year that tested us in ways we never expected. Jessica and Kit, both essential workers—she at CSL Plasma and he at the Credit Union—found themselves balancing full-time jobs with caring for our four kids during the pandemic. Handling work alongside remote schooling for our children became too overwhelming. Eventually, we made the tough call: Jessica left her job at CSL to be with the kids, making ends meet despite the challenges.
Fast forward to 2021, our twins hit 18, gained their licenses, and all our kids were back in full-time school—life became more manageable. Jessica aimed to contribute while being present for our family's events. That drive led her to seek flexible job options, eventually leading to the birth of Travel With Me Travel Agency in February 2022! Jessica's passion for trip planning fueled this venture, though Kit, initially hesitant, backed her up. Guided by Kit's belief in "spending money to make money," we invested in flights and snagged discounted rooms, treating ourselves to an incredible vacation that solidified our commitment to growing this business.
United in this venture, we've not only found financial success but also strengthened our bond while ticking off dream destinations from our bucket list. The icing on the cake? Writing off our Vegas trip as a business expense—a thrilling prospect for Kit, the money-minded man! Our love for travel now translates into discounted adventures and commissions from our own bookings.
As our journey progressed, we tied the knot in November 2022. And now, in January 2024, we've decided to rename our company to Adventures With The Bissingers, a new chapter in our exciting story.
